Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is releasing the KCET 2023 second round seat allotment results today, September 6. This is for seats in engineering, architecture, agriculture, veterinary and pharmacy courses across colleges in Karnataka.
The results were originally supposed to be out yesterday, September 5. But KEA postponed it by a day due to the Karnataka High Court's interim orders regarding NEET counseling. Makes sense, they probably needed more time to factor that in while preparing the seat allotment for KCET.
Anyways, KEA should put up the results on their official website kea.kar.nic.in by evening today. The notice says it'll be after 8pm but there's no specific time given. So students will have to keep checking the site. I'd bookmark the page and refresh it often after 8pm if I were you.
Once the results are up, you'll have to enter your application number and other details to check your allocation. Fingers crossed you get your preferred college and branch! Do check the updated counseling schedule too on the website.
The medical and dental counseling results were announced yesterday per the court's direction. But candidates who got dental seats will have to surrender them to be eligible for KCET counseling. NEET students who got medical seats in round 2 won't be considered for KCET though.
Make sure you properly follow the process if you're in this boat. And be prepared for document verification, fee payment, reporting to the college if allotted a seat in KCET round 2. The process seems complex but just follow the rules and you'll be fine.
Counseling and admissions are always a tense time for students! But don't worry too much, things will work out. Stay positive and focus on your goals. With some luck and perseverance, you'll get into a good college.
